Backbiting!
A minute ago I heard a loud wail from the living room followed by "Esther bited me!". It was Luke, and sure enough he had a pretty clear bite mark--right in the middle of his back! Apparently Esther was checking out her new teeth by seeing what kind of marks she could make on her brother--through his shirt. To his credit, he didn't bite her back, and the wailing didn't last long either.

Yikes! I remember when my brother used to bite me way back in the "good ol' days"! So, Parenting 101: what did you do?
By the way, thanks for visiting my blog.
oooh, my son did that when he was three to the then baby. It was a "parenting moment". I wanted to cry with the baby and had to try control my anger towards what had seemed only moments ago to be my innocent toddler.
Thanks for your kind comments on my blog.
It's nice to "meet" your family
Well, since this time it was the baby biting the toddler, there wasn't much I could do except tell the toddler "oh wow, I'm sorry about that bite. We'll have to teach her not to bite". I did tell the baby not to bite, but mostly for Luke's sake so he would know I was "doing something" about it. Esther is not quite ten months old, and if you know how to train a child that age not to bite let me know! In any case, it wasn't malicious.
My daughter just turned 6 mos and we're expecting her two front teeth soon. She doesn't have any siblings yet being the eldest, but she's started biting me when I nurse her. More to go as the teeth comes out....
Dropping by your blog, I saw the link in natural lds moms yahoo group.
Lily was my nursing biter--well, the others did a bit too, but she was the worst. She actually drew blood once or twice; Ouch!
